OKAY SO IT’S OBVIOUS TO ME FROM THIS DELETED SCENE THAT RON AND HERMIONE HAVE SEEN THEMSELVES IN THIS RELATIONSHIP FOR A WHILE

like, the way Hermione says “it’ll just ruin it” - this is something she’s imagined happening and that she’s looked forward to, and even though she’s in the middle of the battle and she’s been fighting the war, this is something she knows she’s going to cherish and remember and so she wants it to be on their terms, not forced by the situation around them or said too hastily. So many things have happened to them as a result of being exposed to danger and fighting the good fight, but not this, not them - they’re going to decide how and when and where they do everything together for the rest of their lives. Hermione knows that her and Ron are the real fucking deal and she wants them to be a real couple and not a spur of the moment reactionary thing and ugh I love her for it
